Garden staff are planning various peony-centric activities and have started looking for volunteers.
Roles include serving as garden ambassadors, assisting with event coordination and setup during the June 3 bloom weekend, and more.
The garden attracts tourists from all over the world every year.It is currently the largest collection of herbal peonies in North America before 1950.These varieties can be found on the main grid of the garden.Other plants include classic to mid-20th century peonies and cross (Ito) peonies, which are hybrids of herbaceous peonies and peonies.
A top destination in Ann Arbor in late spring and early summer, it has become a central part of local life.
“We’ve had the privilege of witnessing UM students, alumni, families, community members and many others go through memories that are deeply rooted in the garden and bloom in time, whether it’s a marriage proposal in the garden or a graduation photo peony in the sea, Or toddlers near flowers for the first time,” the Peony Garden staff wrote.
